I am a Peruvian artist inspired by the spirit of the Andes and the beauty of natural materials. My work bridges painting, fiber art, and design — always grounded in a deep respect for nature and craftsmanship.
My watercolor collection, Funky Camelids, celebrates South America’s most endearing creatures — llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos. Each piece is painted on 100% handmade cotton fiber paper and finished with hand-sewn baby alpaca fiber, carefully cut and combed to recreate the softness and texture of their hair. Every artwork is framed inside an acrylic box, allowing the painting and its unique details to be appreciated from every angle.
My second collection, Threads & Knots, was born from my love of natural materials and organic forms. Each piece often begins with fallen wooden branches, which I combine with natural cotton threads of various thicknesses and textures, and occasionally rustic jute or burlap ropes. Designed to bring warmth and character to any space, these handcrafted works are created using macramé and barrel knot techniques, transforming simple fibers into tactile, sculptural art that celebrates nature’s quiet elegance.
The Knot a Bag collection is my interpretation of wearable art. Each
macramé purse is entirely handmade — carefully knotted, shaped, and finished to become a timeless piece of handwoven luxury.
Lastly, under Dushka Semsch Studio, I design bespoke wedding invitations that merge art, texture, and storytelling. Each design is custom-made using the finest materials, combining craftsmanship with a personal, emotional touch.
Across all my work — from watercolor to fiber, from art to design — I am guided by the same philosophy: to honor the beauty of natural materials, the patience of handmade creation, and the quiet connection between art and nature.
